International Polar Bear Day is just a few weeks away: Tuesday, February 27! We created the day to coincide with the time when polar bear moms and cubs are snug in their snow dens. As part of our awareness event, we focus on the need to protect polar bear families across the Arctic, giving them the best chance of survival.
We hope you’ll join us on our social channels for special outreach in the week leading up to International Polar Bear Day and on the day itself. Tune in to celebrate polar bears, learn about moms and cubs, and gain insights into the challenges of Arctic field work during the denning period—from subzero temperatures to avalanche risks. Also find out how, by working together, we can sustain a better future for moms and cubs.
