Visit Us in the Field
Planning a trip to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada, or Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway? Visit our interpretive centers and learn more about polar bears and our work.
Polar Bears International has two interpretive centers, the Polar Bears International House in Churchill, Manitoba, and the Polar Bears International Ice House in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Both provide information to visitors on polar bears, sea ice loss, and the urgent need to take action on climate change.

Churchill
As polar bear central, Churchill has long served as a launch pad for our conservation and outreach efforts—and now we have a public center where people can come in and learn about polar bears, sea ice, and polar bear research.

Longyearbyen
Polar Bears International has conducted polar bear den research in Svalbard for nearly a decade, working in partnership with the Norwegian Polar Institute and the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. Now, in a joint effort with the Svalbard Museum, we’ve expanded our presence through a new, seasonal interpretive center that shares our conservation message with Arctic travelers.
