Emily received her B.A. from Tufts University in 2011 and has worked in the non-profit world ever since. She has a diverse sphere of environmental and communications experience ranging from being a field technician to a wildlife research assistant to a development and communications manager. At Polar Bears International, Emily is in charge of all social channels, designs most digital and print resources, handles online outreach, manages the Polar Bears International brand, and, each fall, she broadens her net to assist in field operations. When it comes to polar bears, Emily believes quality communications to be a key bridge between the science and the public and political will to take action on their behalf. As a lifelong lover of ecology and the natural world, she is deeply motivated by the fact that a future for wild polar bears also means a more just and sustainable future for all.
