Tori Reibel

Communications and Development Assistant

Victoria (Tori) Reibel recently joined the PBI team as our Communications and Development Assistant, bringing with her a strong background in communications, outreach and research. From presenting education programs to crunching data, Tori is no stranger to the many hats that conservation nonprofits often wear. Tori holds a B.S. in Natural Resources Management from Grand Valley State University and is currently finishing her master’s degree at Clemson University, where her thesis research examines the attitudes and perceptions of Myrtle Beach residents toward coastal black bear conflicts and compares those perspectives to the attitudes and perceptions of wildlife agency managers. Her academic and professional work centers on the human dimensions of wildlife conservation and improving communication between local communities and on-the-ground conservation practitioners. Based in Michigan, Tori is thrilled to join the PBI team! Outside of work, she enjoys tending to her homestead with her husband and their many animals — including four dogs, a mini pig, three chickens, and a corn snake. When she’s not reading, thinking or talking about bears, she finds joy in creative projects and a life surrounded by the people and animals that she loves.
