Chloé Warret Rodrigues

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Chloé Warret Rodrigues’s research aims to understand the consequences of climate change on the dynamics of Arctic food webs, with a special focus on the interdependence of marine and terrestrial Arctic species. Chloé first graduated with a DVM from Liege University (Belgium), and a MSc in ethology (Paris XIII University, France) before obtaining a PhD (University of Manitoba) in population biology, where she used a multidisciplinary approach to examine how red foxes maintain a reproductive population on the coastal tundra of Western Hudson Bay and how they interact with Arctic foxes. Chloé has a strong interest in wildlife conservation. Prior to joining Polar Bear International and the Churchill Fox Project as Postdoctoral Fellow, she worked on diverse projects including as a veterinary specialist on the National Hunting and Wildlife Agency’s Jaguar Conservation Project in French Guiana, and as a coordinator for the (French) National Action Plan to preserve the Lesser Antillean iguana. Her current research will produce information that will be used to forecast climate-induced changes in Arctic food webs’ dynamics and help in the conservation of Arctic ecosystems. Chloé spends most of her free time exploring the Canadian wilderness and other remote areas around the world.
