Trees for You & Me Competition

Tree planting eventThe countdown is on! Members of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) are nearing the deadline (March 1st) in their annual competition to see which chapter can raise the most money to help PBI plant trees. You can help your favorite zoo win this year's contest by making a contribution via a special donation page on our website.

The money raised helps plant trees in our Polar Bear Forests. Our goal is to plant 500,000 acres of trees in ten years and clear the atmosphere of tons of CO2. How does this help polar bears? Greenhouse gas reductions help improve sea-ice habitat. Polar bears rely on the sea ice to hunt, breed, and, in some cases, to den.
