Polar Bear Alert Issued in Labrador

Wildlife officials in Labrador warned residents of a polar bear sighting near the coastal town of Cartwright, the first one this year. Polar bears occasionally show up on shore from drifting pack ice. Officials warned residents to dispose of garbage properly and avoid contact.
