Biography:

When Fallon Murphy turned eight years old, she spent her time constantly swimming… in the middle of October in 30 degree weather! Flailing out of the pool with her skin morphing to the color purple, Fallon realized that she loves anything and everything cold. This appreciation is what inspired her to study polar bears and win first place in Fairfield County in the Project Polar Bear competition.
Some random facts about Fallon are: she is training to become an opera singer; she is an intern at her town’s newspaper; she is the president of the Redding Chapter of National Charity League; she was Juliet in Romeo and Juliet; she worked for a local veterinarian; and she is a full-time home-school “nerd”.
Being a nerd and constantly reading, Fallon discovered the polar bear’s dilemma. The solution for Fallon was simple – she must take responsibility and do whatever it takes to educate herself and use that knowledge to educate others. Choosing conservation and avoiding wasteful behavior are the ways to care for the earth and its many creatures. By reducing carbon emissions, we will help save the polar bear’s ice.
If Fallon could take a time machine to 2014 and be able to zap back to 2009, she would hope to see that she inspired at least one individual to perform an action to help the polar bear that caused a chain reaction of inspiring another person, and that person inspiring another, and so on. What a clean and green world this would be!
