Project Outline
Propagation of native fast growing hardwood trees, and shrubs. Taking the propagated trees and shrubs and working with the Ohio Department of Transportation and local towns, Plant the unused sections of highways and entrance ramps that are just grass covered for wind breaks and also snow barriers (which will reduce salt usage) .. goal to propagate 2,000 trees and bushes this summer and plant in the fall.
Hey Everyone,
We recieved our t-shirts and information today. We have been working on getting our project in action. I have talked to a couple of people who i think could help us. I have talked to Thomas Lyden who works for ODOT and is in charge of the High Ways. I have also talked to Nancy Burton who is the General Information Manager. Well we hope to put our plan into action soon. We'll keep you updated!
