Project Outline
The Green Team aims to provide our community with more knowledge, resources, and ideas, enabling everyone to spread word about our cause. We will accomplish these tasks through a partnership with the Seneca Park Zoo and possibly setting up booths at local tours, concerts, and festivals. We feel that it is necessary to spread awareness to everyone, especially the younger generations. We plan on working with local elementary schools next school year through interactive workshops in order to increase their interest in the environment and its future.
In addition to spreading awareness, we will establish ties with local nurseries and farmers to provide seedlings for students to plant. Right now, we are working on developing partnerships with local fund raising organizations. There is even the possibility of 5K run hosted by The Green Team in order to fund raise for Polar Bear International.
Hey this the Green Team here and here's what we've done so far, So far we have started to caculate the amount of carbon and energy our schools computers use. Based on this information we will present our findings and ask them if theres a way they can turn them off over breaks or weekends. We also plan on hosting a "carbon quiz" for our school. This quiz will educate the students about the carbon they release and what they can do to limit thier output of carbon. So thats what we done so far. Untill our next blog- The Green Team
