Amstrup to Speak in Boulder April 3

Dr. Steve Amstrup, chief scientist and vice president of conservation science at Polar Bears International, will be speaking in Boulder on April 3 as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series.

The series is hosted by the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Amstrup will talk about polar bears and the challenges they face from anthropogenic global warming. He said, "We should care about polar bears because if we act in time to save them, we also will save most of the rest of life on earth, and maximize opportunity to leave our children a world similar to that in which humans have flourished."

A reception will follow the free lecture and all are invited to attend both. Registration is not required, but a full house is expected.
